Job Title: Customer Service Officer

Contract: 12 Months Fixed Term – Full Time

Salary: £22,353.63

Team: Housing

Accountable to: Housing Manager

Management Responsibility: No

General Purpose of the Role

  • To provide an excellent level of customer service to all Arcon’s customers, contractors, and colleagues

Specific Duties:
Customer Service

  • To provide a high quality ‘one stop shop’ customer service to Arcon customers over the phone, email, and customer App.
  • To ensure that standards in Arcon’s Customer Care Policy are met.
  • To answer all telephone calls promptly and aim to deal with all enquiries at the first point of contact, meeting targets for 1st call resolutions.
  • To diagnose, order and chase repairs on behalf of customers, liaising with our contractors to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • To be able to give tenants general housing advice.
  • To respond to rent account enquiries, make repayment agreements for low level arrears and provide advice on help to pay rent.
  • To identify customers who may need support such as money advice and signpost/refer.
  • To set up new and amend Direct Debits on the Allpay system and order Allpay rent cards
  • To respond to all incoming communication (phone, email, and customer App) from customers, partners, contractors and colleagues
  • To ensure all contacts are recorded and logged
  • To advocate for our customers needs to ensure they receive a great service and provide updates and information on behalf of colleagues
  • Provide admin support as and when requested by any Arcon staff.

We are currently hybrid working due COVID-19. You will be required to attend the office occasionally when requested by your line manager.

Candidate Requirements

Essential skills Criteria:

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience working in a Customer Service setting
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’S C or above including Maths and English (Proof of qualifications will be required at interview stage)
  • Ability to use IT products such as MS Office and teams
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and adapt your style to suit the customers’ needs
  • Good organisational skills to assist in meeting individual and team targets
