Values & Objectives
Statement of Values and Objectives
Arcon Housing Association seeks to provide homes for those in housing need where they may live with pride and dignity.
Our aim is to provide a quality housing management service by ensuring that our properties are well maintained, that empty properties are re-let without delay and that the rent is paid promptly. This ensures that our tenants have a home for life and that the Association sustains its investment in the future.
With these values in mind, the Board has set the following strategic objectives:
- Housing people in housing need in liaison with local authorities and other agencies.
- Maintaining properties to the highest standard.
- Keeping rents for those in housing need at affordable levels.
- Maximising collectable rent and minimising rent losses through properties being void.
- Investing in new sustainable developments and business opportunities
- Providing properties for special needs/care organisations to manage
- Maintaining a strong financial position.
- Improving service delivery.
- Promoting tenant involvement in decisions that affect their homes.
- Promoting good relations with suppliers, contractors, agents, local authorities and other partners.
- Ensuring the continued committed involvement of well trained, skilled and experienced Board Members and staff.
In order to realise these aims and objectives the Association has agreed and established policies, strategies and procedures and these are continually reviewed. A list of key policies and strategies are listed below but details of all are available from the office on request.
